How to Choose a Graphics Card

Your choice in video, or graphics, card will depend on what kind of applications you will be using with your computer. If you're a hard-core gamer, you'll want to get the top-of-the-line card, with the fastest graphics processors (yes, more than one) and most RAM you can get.

However, for the huge majority of us browsing the Internet, listening to music, or using simple office applications like word processors or spreadsheets, you can get the third-tier video card with a minimum of 512 MB of video RAM.

You don't need anything fancy, unless you are the aforementioned gamer or graphic artist.

Simple recommendation: Get a gForce chipset of the 7600 variety with 512 MB of RAM.
